I have a chanse to buy it it is in good shape not meant but good the gun two box shell scabbert for 700 the gun is worth about500 the best I can tell

i have to agree with Hiwall. i don't know what BlueBook value is, but i saw one a few months ago in 45 Colt in dang near new condition at a pawn shop that they were asking $350 for.

You looking to use it for cowboy action shooting??

If so get a uberti 1873. Save up if you have to you will thank me later.

Three main guns at cas events are rossi marlin and uberti. Only ones I see that run without issues at some point are the uberti's.

You buy a rossi or marlin and you end up spending the diff you woulda spent on a uberti getting it to run and it still will have issues.

Skip the 44-40 for cas unless your rich as hell. Even handloading the brass is not easy to find nor cheap.
