OK, did the annoying search thing, anyone have any leads on ammo for a Win M-71 .348WCF?

Ammo for the .348 is expensive (when you can even find it). If I was not going to shoot this gun very much, I'd just bite the bullet (no pun intended) and buy a box or two of ammo and be done with it. If I were to shoot it a lot and hunt with it I would add a set of .348 dies to my reloading stuff, get some brass and bullets and reload away.

.348 Winchester IS commercially available- but i will forewarn you- the price is... well, the shortest verse in the Bible is "Jesus wept." My local gun shop usually has a couple of boxes, and YOUR gun shop can order it for you- and Buffalo Bore and old Western Scrounger should have it- on a seasonal basis.

It is a great reason to get into reloading. The price of a set of dies is about equal to one box of 20 rounds.
