OK, wait, the 10FCP SR seems to be a stock item, (308, 10 rnd. mag, ect.) and looks exactly like the one in your photo above. What about the bottom metal? Could you explain?

A friend just bought this:http://www.budsgunshop.com/catalog/product_info.php/products_id/73924, and he likes it. I don't know what options are available for it though but you can look into it if you're interested.

JonM, I stand corrected. That is one nice Savage. I'm impressed. Is that an actual suppressor on there? And, if you don't mind me asking, how much dough for the whole thing, minus the can?
the gun itself runs between 800-1200 depending on where you get one. yes its a real suppressor it is a surefire FA762K the optic is a nightforce NXS F1 3.5-15X. the suppressor is hearing safe and with full power rounds sounds like someone clapping their hands once really hard. all you get is the supersonic crack of the bullet.

here is a video of me shooting it. not at one point a spent casing hits the bench and its louder than the shot

yes, the fcp-sr comes with the bottom metal and one 10 round mag. accurate mag is the company that supplies the bottom metal to savage. savage doesnt make them.

Cool Savage and video, and I knew you wouldn't have a phony noise reducer on your rifle.

Can we see video(s) of cats playing?

Have you looked at Rugers new Gunsite Scout Rifle? I have been looking for a good bolt action rifle like this. It reminds me of the Enfield Jungle Carbine No5 in .303 Brit.

I prefer the term "long range shooter"

OP buy a Savage or a Stevens 200 in .308 as a base and build your rifle up from there. Plenty of parts available.
