Funny, I have a Win. M 100 in .308 and my new Win. 1895 in 30/06. The '95 kicks like a mule! I have a new Ruger 77 Gunsight Scout Rifle in .308, but haven't had the chance to fire it. The '95 is much harder than the 100, figuring it's an autoloader has something to do with it, but none of them are a .22
Does the 95 have a traditional stock with the curved butt plate? They are nasty when it comes to recoil.
