Federal factory 180gn wasn't too bad in my Mk3 No.1 and "YES" I've tried Highland ammo and it wasn't too bad at all. The brass isn't too bad too reload either and I've had upto 3-4 reloads out of the cases and that's FLS every time.

As I posted earlier I can get about a 2" group out of my reloads off the bench with open sights if I do my bit.

just stay away from boattails. the reduced bearing surface may affect stability

I always thought that boat tail bullets increased accuracy. When i reloaded i used flat tails with great accuracy but was considering switching to boat tail bullets.. Are boat tail bullets less or more accurate than flat tails???

Liker anything to do with rifles some rifles will like Boat Tail ammo and others won't it's just a matter of trial and error to find what works best in your particular rifle, regards

boatails aren't necessarily more accurate, but they reduce drag and therefore keep the bullet supersonic further avoiding the "burble" when they go transonic. Means longer effective range, and more retained energy. If shooting under 300 yds just use a flatbase. but as mentioned above try it if you want
