.30 Winchester vs Remington

I want a good .30 60 caliber rifle for my son and practice and a little hunting. Not too expensive.

The remington 7400 in .30 06, what do you think as a beginners rifle?

The winchester springfield is a little more expensive, what about that one?

Any other good beginning rifles?
