I concede, now I need some, for deer not self defense.

Why do you feel it necessary to list your guns?

I have had my Model 94 for 39 years. Any ammo that is designed for the Model 94 is a good self-defense round in my eyes. My rifle is small, light, holds a total of right rounds, can be fired rapidly and easily and the 30-30 cartridge has plenty of power.

Correct on all points.

I use a Benelli M2 loaded with 00 Buck, but I wold still feel extremely well armed with my old Winchester 94!

I accept your surrender, LOL........The .30 WCF is a great round, these are what I use in my Handi-rifle. Just damn near up to .308 performance.

I've never even heard of .30WCF. I like to stay with the greats of calibers. .30-30, .308, 30-06, but definitely not .30WCF.

At least if I had the choice.

But that bullet does NOT look to be a good idea in a tube magazine. The standard 30-30 bullet shape is the blunt, rounded profile. Why is your .30WCF look different?

I don`t use them in my lever-gun, I use them in my single barrel H&R Handi-rifle...............

30-30 is a good defense against Indians, in movies, in Hollywood .... not real.

A really bad idea.
I completely agree that there are much better choices in a SD weapon.

But to answer your question...Federal Power-Shoks are available in a 125gr HP. I believe the load# is 3030C.

Edit....
I should've read further down the thread...looks like the Federal and Winchester ammo has been called out.

thank in advance
I was told by a lawyer when i took the CCWP class," If you reload, don't use reloaded ammunition for self defence. Any good lawyer will turn it against you, by saying that because you reload you were planning to kill someone."

Use factory ammo, and don't use a 30-30, it's far too powerful for self defence work. Shotgun or handgun will suffice, caliber is your choice.
