Default 2nd rifle finished!!

I re-stocked my 1955 M98 Swede. Much easier then the 1st rifle!! Stock is finished w/ BLO and gun wax. It is a Boyds I got on sale, $59.00.

That is beautiful. Is that solid wood or a laminate?

I didn't know they used nutmeg wood. Hell I didn't know nutmeg came from a tree.

The scope is an old Simmons 3-9x32mm that came on my Savage 110 7mm Rem Mag when I bought it years ago. The mount is a Swedish commercial short side rail, original to the rifle.

Thanks for the info and the closer look, The mount looks very interesting, I enjoy looking at older scopes and mounting systems. Again, a very good looking rifle and I hope you get a lot of enjoyment out of it.
