Default 270win still a top cartdg

Just got back from a red stag hunt . I took along my rem700 sps x50 vx2 combo an tipped over a 10point Stag with 140gr Accubond Winchester factorys from 100m an it worked a treat with a high behind shoulder shot. It didnt run 15m an tipped.

Anyone else still enjoy this old favourite?
Cheers

Mine is a Ruger M77, but I agree with your bullet choice. The Winchester ammo loaded with Nosler 140 grain Accubonds is a great round. I have put lots of venison in the freezer with this combination.

Awesome stag, a New Zealand hunt is on my bucket list.

Great buck, good shooting.

The .270 Winchester is a classic round. A gentle (but excellent) reminder that 'old' cartridges and guns don't lose any ability when a 'new' cartridge or gun comes along.
