Either round will kill anything in North America. Although I would choose
something larger on Brown (Grizzly/Yukon) or Polar Bear.

Rem 770's have not impressed me, poor workmanship and finish. Bolt
movement is rough.

Rem 700 basic models can still be purchased below $400 new, no scope.

I purchased a Rem 700 in 7mm Rem Mag a few years ago in Wisconsin
for $318. It is a fricking tack driver. I have a $200 Nikon Buckmaster
scope on it. Nice combination.
