I've shot a lot of diferent caliber rifles and I will take my Tikka LSA 65 25-06 over any other out of the box hunting rifle I've ever shot. It just has a old redfield 3-9 on it and will shoot holes at 100 yards all day and with good wind and the right loads it's rather accurate to 500+. Reloading options are vast and it's a terror for any critter up to the size of elk with very little recoil. It may just be because it was my first rifle but I recommend the 25-06 to every one I can. just my .02 cents
