Everyones arguing about these calibers, and I'm over here like the .243 kill coyotes great. And also as I said before between these two calibers, you can buy loads that will shoot a .243 just as fast as a .22-250. Hornaday has done some great work with the superformance. The varmit superformance for the .243 shoots a 58 gr VMAX at 3925fps....that's pretty close to .22-250. And then you can go out and get 100 gr bullets for the .243 and shoot deer just fine, its a great caliber and I love my .243

Why don't you read mine? I proved to you, with facts and figures, that the .243 is within the parameters of being a perfectly good choice as a deer cartridge, and no response. But, that's what I figured.

243 is WAY more versitile the the 22-250 in my book, both can sling light varmint bullets at 4,000fps speeds but the 243 can use heavier 85-100gr bullets that give it twice the effective range on deer class game (about 300 yards) if you ever need it. With its loose 1:14" twist the 22-250 is a one trick pony in comparison since it cannot even use the heavier bullets in it's own caliber. Both are hard on barrels though if you shoot alot, a 223/308/7mm-08/260 barrel will last vastly longer.

You did not address the point I made. You got all defensive and try to rationalize your behavior, which I agreed with in my post. READ THE POST AND ADDRESS THE POINT I MADE PLEASE!!!

I am not defensive at all. I am just extolling the virtues and effectiveness of the .243 that has the required sectional density that you said was required for any cartridge to be a deer sized game killer. I am still waiting for you to recant your statements. BTW, you don't have to yell at me.

The Game Warden in Kentucky, who respects animals as much as anyone in the state, thinks its ethical to hunt Whitetail Deer with any caliber as long as it is not FMJ. I'll take their opinions on ethical hunting over yours.

That was not my POINT, but if you insist. You said the 105 gr had a SD of just over .250, which would prove my point, The BEST bullet available is just over the acceptable minimum set by generations of hunters!! PLEASE read the post and respond to the point I was discussing.
