Well there is a way to shorten it a little and make it smoother and lighter but don't expect M&P trigger. Reset will remain long regardless of what you do

Buy the 40, I don't own any .40 S&W firearms, but the ammo is readily available all over, unlike 9mm.

I am not having any problems finding 9mm ammo. I can get 9mm ammo a lot cheaper than 40 cal ammo. I don't buy my ammo from walmart either. I can get 124 gr Speer gold dots $30 for 50, same price for Hornady 135 gr critical duty . I can get 115 gr FMJ ammo for less than $14 a box. If I want 9mm boutique ammo I can get it without any problems.

^ are you putting that heavier ammo through? What's your experience? I've heard about slides locking up all the way back because the round is so powerful.
