Called them yesterday. They said sometimes they don't get de-greased and the paint doesn't stick. They suggested painting it myself. I thought about that but wanted to check with them first.

I have the SD40VE and love it. I have some truglo tritium sights ordered for it. I put the apex spring kit in, and it makes a world of difference in accuracy for me. Get the apex trigger springs!

+10 on the Apex spring kit! I have a SD9VE and I love it way more with the spring kit in it. Not hard to install but easier if the gun is new. Mine had over 1000 rounds through it when I did it so the pins were a little tight.

Picked mine up at academy a few months ago for 290.
Shot it last weekend. Only thing I would change is the trigger, but for the money you can't beat this gun. Not one hiccup it shot blazer, speer, federal, and mag tech with no problems. Overall a good buy especially for a truck gun or a range gun to plink with.

This gun is a bit of an upgrade for me. I had a Hi-point for about 2 months before I sold it and bought this one. The hi-point never fit my hand well nor did it feel like a quality gun. The SW fits my hand perfect and has a very nice quality feel to it. I can't wait to fire it. The HiPoint jammed many times the first time out. I'm hoping for a better experience!
Very good gun for the price, they changed the look I see as well. Pretty cool
