I'm afraid to ask what that cost you.

It was completely free!
It was a gift from my Great Grandmother, it was my Great Grandpa's.

Very nice, congrats and thanks for the pics. is this something you're going to shoot or keep as a family air loom?

I shot one magazine out of it yesterday. I may shoot it more occasionally but I'm being very careful to keep it how he had it.

Winchester,
I am very familiar with the Model 41. They were an excellent pistol for 22 cal Silhouette Competition at the Club years ago.
Very nice piece! And great that it is a valuable nostalgic keepsake from your Grandpa! They mean the most to me as I am sure your pistol does to you! They are priceless!
The other thing is there is no problem with shooting the 41. It is a fine pistol and as long as you shoot good ammunition through it and take care of it as far as maintenance, cleaned properly and lubricated there is no reason for you to hesitate one bit to shoot it. Always keeping it in a gun rug after being lubed and kept in a dry place. I clean and properly lubricate all of my heirlooms every 6 months even if I do not shoot them. CONGRATULATIONS! On one fine pistol!

Thanks for the tips!
I think I will shoot it more! Ie found it to be incredibly accurate!
I've heard tales about him hunting rabbits and squirrels with it and I'd like to try the same!
Thanks for the response!
