I've had my SD9VE maybe a year now and put well over a thousand rounds through it and never had an issue. Except... I never liked the heavy trigger pull. Got used to it some, but still didn't like it. This morning I FINALLY installed the Apex Tactical spring kit for the trigger that brings it down to a 6lb pull. Went to the range and put a couple hundred rounds through it today. MUCH better. It's like a whole new gun. Love the new trigger feel! Not only easier to pull but it feels smoother too. And I was more accurate with it as well (average skill level shooter, no pro). Anyone that owns an SD9VE or any of the Sigma series guns I highly suggest you get the Apex spring kit. Less than $25 and all that is needed to install is a 1/16" punch, a 1/8" punch and a soft hammer. Takes about 10-15 minutes to install. Love it!

Default Anyone shot a S&W SW9VE?

Good bang for the buck. With under $100 you can turn it into a better gun ... as long as it fits your hand. Though consider this, extra $200 over original price will buy you an M&P of the same size which is a lot better gun. I'm not saying Sigma is bad but M&P us definitely better with fewer modding headaches. The rest is up to you
be safe

S&W was giving away the parts to lower the trigger pull on that series of guns. Did S&W stop the program or did you just miss the boat?

I had a SW40VE for several months. Once I got used to the trigger, I liked it for CCW . No chance it was going to fire accidently ! I thought about a trigger kit, but decided against it. Wasn't going to be a target gun, even with the trigger job. Ended up selling it to buy a Sig P6 .

First pistol I bought when I turned 21. I had it in .40. Went bang EVERYTIME. Never any issues but the obvious...trigger etc.. damn good reliable gun for the money. I dont have mine anymore as I traded it in on a different gun but I miss it

At one time I owned a SW9VE & 40VE.
I will say the current SD series is much improved in the trigger pull over the SW series, but other than that, they are basically the same, IMO.

Had a SW9VE, nothing wrong with it at all, practice and training, and you will find the trigger pull a non issue......
