Yes. A very good gun for the price. Should be around $400.

I have had mine since June 2012. Love it. With the exception of some FTE's which seem to be worked out now after cleaning up the extractor there are no other issues. I paid $439. at BPS, I have seen them on some of the online sites for less.

I own a 9mm cougar and it shoots like a dream right out of the box. The stationary rotating barrel and single/double action makes it more accurate that a glock or xd. The parts are made by the same machines that make berettas so you know it's a no-bull**** handgun. No FTF at all and just using a bore snake and some gun wipes will keep it in good shape.

My question is are beretta m92 clips compatible with the cougar?

I got to shoot one in 9mm a few weeks ago. Nice shooting solid gun. Plenty accurate and the recoil is nice with the rotating barrel design. Sights could be better but at a $400 price point it is a solid buy in my book. Unless you want to spend a $200 extra to buy a Beretta PX4.

Stroeger makes firearms worthy of their price IMO. The cougar was on my short list of pistols I was considering for purchase not too long ago. I ended up purchasing a SIG 1911 mostly BC I opted to go with a full sized pistol instead of a compact/sub-compact. I have a couple of Berettas and they are solid and reliable.

What's Stoeger's warranty like? I don't mind a one year warranty from beretta since I trust their quality; my 84fs (cheetah) is more than 20 years old and I've only had one minor issue with it a few months after i bought it and it was covered by Beretta.

Old thread i know, but wanted to add that i own a Stoeger in both 40 and 45 and love them both. Both came with 4 mags for around $399. Ive looked at a 9mm a few times, but havent pulled the trigger on that deal yet. Yes, the Stoegers are worth every penny.

I have 9mm Stoeger couger as my first pistol. After shooting it for a year I had nothing to compare it to though I always enjoyed it. My second pistol was a glock 22 in 40sw and I am not crazy about the feel of it especially don't like the trigger on. So for my 3rd and final pistol I purchased a 40sw px4storm inox. Mostly because it an upgrade of the couger. So now I appreciate my couger more then ever and love my px4 storm inox. Happy shootin

This is a little too far, but it is a fine pistol.
