its one gun i wont own simply because of that.
Try a Storm Sub Compact. No barrel rotation and more room for a suppressor.

I purchased a sub compact 9mm today. Five out the door including tax. Purchased it for my wife to use in her fanny pack, but after working with it a little bit, she handed it back to me and said, you keep it.

I am a Glock guy, but I Do like the craftsmanship in anything marked Beretta. Super good gun company.

Lock the slide open, put in a full mag, and look at the lines of the cartridge pointing towards the barrel. My guess, any reasonable round is going to feed in that perfect union. OMG !

Can't afford an Italian sports car, go to the mall any get an Italian watch, then go to your LGS and get a Storm. Call it good as you drive your pick up truck.

PX4 Storm Full Size in 9mm ... love it. Just posted my first video review/demo on it.

9mm or 40SW?

Not getting into caliber wars.

Learn to shoot well, accurately and defensively and there is no difference.

Picked my PX4 Storm yesterday in .45. Very nice. Like most Berettas its smooth and solid. Very different feel from Glock 21. To me it rivals my 1911 in smoothness and feel. I am liking it after 300 rounds.

As posted in the other PX4 Storm thread:

I have the Type F Beretta PX4 Storm in 9mm. Purchased mine new back in Feb. of 2007. I keep a log on all my firearms, listing number of rounds fired, by whom, and comments. I have just under 2100 rounds through mine, and with every user on every outing, the "comment" line still says "100%"!
I own 11 handguns, and consider myself an XD man. But I have to say that the PX4 Storm has equaled, if not out performed, even some of the five XD's I own. I used the PX4 Storm in IDPA competitions for a while, and it was always dependable and plenty accurate. The "cam" lock up makes for a smooth running, quick to get back on target, setup.
I also own the CX4 Storm carbine in .40 S&W. It too, is ultra reliable and accurate.

Good to hear about this. I'd love to get a CX4 Carbine, those seem really cool.

I have shot my friends storm in 9mm. They are very expensive over here. I really enjoyed the gun. I would not mind owning one. I own high quality pistols, and would consider the storm high quality. I think the rotating barrel is really cool. I welcome new ideas that actually work. I do not care if suppressors are a problem. Suppressors are illegal over here unless you are hunting pests in graveyards with a rifle. I am sure there is a few more exceptions. When you register a gun, the form does ask if it comes with a suppressor (actually it says silencer). Anyways I like the Storm.

Thanks! Here's my CX4 Storm in .40 S&W. Bought it back on 2-10 of '06. It's gripped to use the Beretta 8040 Cougar Mags. Decked out with the complete Beretta rail set, red dot, double stock spacers, ambi charging handles, folding VFG, laser, and bbl shroud from here: (http://www.moerse.com/PRODUCTS/Beretta/SHROUDS.htm). Sweet shooter, ultra reliable, accurate and easy, quick, toolless takedown. 1200 rounds through with zero problems.

I have a PX4 40 full size and a custom 9mm conversion barrel for it. The barrel was custom made by a friend. Shoots flawlessly with either barrel. Here it is with the 9mm barrel, a Burris FF III mounted on a Sight Mount rear sight. 40 rounds from 30 feet. Love it
