CONGRATS! Nice choice! I have the PX4 F Full Size, PX4 Sub, and the CX4 Carbine, all in 9mm. I've never shot a 40, so I can't compare the two Calibers, but my PX4's are really great Shooters. The PX4 F, with the Rotating Barrel, seems to be a Smoother Shooter (Recoil), than my 92FS & M9.
I Upgraded my PX4 Sub, a few months ago, and purchased a few of the 17-Round Mag Adapters, which allows me to use my 17-Round PX4 F & CX4 Mags, in my PX4 Sub. It gives me a Full Grip, yet, still Compact enough to Carry. I still have the 13-Round Snap-Grip Mags as a backup.
Cheers!
BB

I own a couple and I love Beretta, but the one issue with the PX4 is the safety decocker has a sharp point that digs into you if you are trying to concealed carry. Other than that it is a wonderfull gun. Very pleasent to shoot and accurate.

I have a Px4 9mm. I chose it over the 92A1 because it looks sleeker. They both feel about the same to me, besides the weight. I fired my friends 92fs before I got it, and once I shot the px4 I realized I was more accurate with the 92. With about a 400 rnds of shooting though I became just as good with the px4. But looking back and after doing tons of research I wish I would have gotten the 92A1. Plan to in the future. Px4 is still a great gun though and worth the purchase.

I have the Px4 Storm in 45ACP ... I didn't like the snap of the .40 and I'm not a limp wristed girl that can only handle 9mm

i shot my buddies HK in .40 ... had more snap/recoil than the Beretta in .45. I also shot a Glock in .40 before I settled on the Px4. Plus I didn't like the trigger on the HK either, way to long a travel and reset as well.

I have an M&P in .40. It does snap a little bit more then my Px4 9mm. But that's to be expected with a heavier round. Plus I have a 1911 in .45 and I would say it feels better to shoot than the M&P .40. But that could have something to do with the more weight behind it. Have you shot a Px4 .40 to compare it to the .45 version? Because from what I've read, the Px4 model is supposed to have less recoil than others. (Many claim that of course)
Since you have shot a few other .40s with the same result, it may not matter. But in my experience, and from what I've read in reviews, different model handguns feel/shoot differently regardless of caliber. So you really can't compare a Px4 .40 to a glock or hk in the same caliber.

I've owned the full size, compact and subcompact PX4s, and by far my hands down favorite is the Compact in 9mm. To me it just feels perfect in hand.
