HK USP variants are used by German army, special police units and Leos. USP .45 was used by Navy Seals. Many swat units in the states use .45 USPs. Ok, recoil is very manageable for the .40. Very accurate and reliable. No misfires/misfeeds yet. The decocker/safety is an awesome feature. This particular handgun has saved my life. A charging boar got inside my rifle, and I had to do a quick draw from my serpa holster. I dropped him with a quick double tap to the head. whew!! Oh, I do carry with a round in the chamber and safety off. Here is my original post on the weapon....enjoy the German engineering.....

I love my USP 40. wouldn't trade it for any other pistol, if I could only have one that would be it, its super durable, super reliable, and fits my hand perfectly.

Only upgrade I made is the extended mag release.
