I took the P30L to the range yesterday. It's a joy to shoot, but then I knew it would be. I have the medium sides and the small back strap on right now and it feels great.

Enjoy your new P30L---I've had a P30S 9mm for several years now---one of my favorite pistols---that and my 9mm P2000...

First time I picked up a HK pistol, it was a HK45. I then compared it with the HK45C. I found the "bat wing" grip to be a natural fit. I immediately placed it on layaway,,,,,picked it up soon thereafter. It is accurate, well made, my favorite .45. I am afraid to try the P30 for I know I would have to figure a way to buy it too! In other words, it is only a matter of time before I buy one. I also concur with others who praise the Sig. My P226-MK 25 and P290rs are definitely keepers too.

How much did it set ya back? (Price) and how comparable is it size wise to say a glock 19/23?

My P30L was lightly used and bought on Gunbroker for $830. It came in the original box/case and had with 5 15-round magazines, a kydex holster, 4 kydex mag holders for your belt, and night sights.

It has a 4.5 inch barrel and I'd call it 'full size' so it's bigger than a Glock 19. I'd say it's more Glock 17 size. The G17 has a barrel length of 4.48 inches. By contrast, the G19's is 4.02 inches.

I CC most of the time the HK .45C amazingly accurate too.
