The mags with sr9c are not the same size in that pic. One (in the middle) is a ten round double stack magazine. The ones on either side are double stack 17 round magazines that come standard in the sr9. They both have grip extensions on them to contour to the users hand. Very well made extensions when comparing them to others I have seen. They fit perfectly and are very snug.

Right. The SR9c comes with a 10 round mag and a 17 round mag. I bought an extra 17 round mag.

I like the 10 rounder for carry but can't help thinking it could probably hold 14 rounds if they weren't making it California compliant.

I would agree. I think I'd like a 14 round magazine in addition to the 10 and 17. (With California compliance being considered)

well I called Ruger about my sr22 and the problems I was having with it and the missing barrel screw. Ruger send me a UPS next day shipping
labele to return the gun for repair. I also had to write up a short explanation of what has been happening with the gun and they would takee a look. Anyways I boxed up the gun and took it to UPS last Monday evening.
I received a returning shipping email stating I would have the gun the following !Momday. Sure enough the ups drops off the gun Monday afternoon. they put in a new barrel and also replaced one of the mags. Took then to the range that afternoon and it worked great. I am very impressed with Rugers customer service and turnaround time , it was great. I will continue to shop Ruger knowing that what I am buying is backed up by a great company.

Glad things went so smoothly for you. I have mine packed up and ready to go but can't seem to find the time to drop it off. I will make it a goal for tomorrow.

Let us know how it goes. I am big on customer service and they have been great, I hope you get the same. You don't see a whole lot of good customer service anymore, especially when dealing via phone or internet instead of face to face.
