I don't want to jinx myself (knock on wood), but I have never had an issue with mine.

our sr22'is our forth Ruger and the wife is really happy with it. We have only been using the cheapest ammo we can find and have had very few problems with fail to load or eject. I think is more then ammo then the gun itself. we have been very happy with all 4 Rugers we have purchased. MrkIII target, LC9, SR9 and the SR22.

I too have never had a Robles with my Rugers. That's why I keep thinking I'm missing something.
It couldn't be the guns fault, right? It's a RUGER for crying out loud.
But- numerous people have shot it, lots of different ammo, both mags, and over 1.000 rounds, I'm stumped. Guess it will go back on Monday. I'll let you know what they say.

I thought I had jinxed myself when I made my earlier post about our SR22. As I used it more to break it in I began having more and more problems with it not ejecting, not feeding right and the slide not staying open after the last shot in the mag.
As I followed this thread I made sure I was holding it firmly, not touching the slide, tried different ammo and had others use it. Last thing I tried was giving a really good cleaning which is when I think I discovered my problem. As I followed the instructions to break it down I noticed the barrel came off with the slide. According to the manual to removed the barrel you need to loosen a screw that is just in front of the trigger. When I looked there was NO screw, so nothing was holding the barrel in place. I am fairly new to handguns and thinking that myself and my family who shot this gun are lucky nothing bad happened. With the barrel free to move around no wonder it wasnt feeding and ejecting correctly.

I still like Ruger and I am considering this a lesson learned not to take anything for granted. With my other Rugers the first thing I did was break them down to look them over, I didnt do that with this one.
I will be on the phone to Ruger first thing tomorrow. I am thinking I should ask for a replacement because who knows what damage may have been done. Would others agree?

"theforthD" - You most likely sent yours to Ruger already but I would be interested in knowing if you remember that barrel screw being in place on yours.

This will be my first time calling Ruger, I have only heard positive things about their customer service so I hoping I get the same.

WOW! I'm surprised it would work at all with the barrel screw missing. My SR22 has never jammed or misfired and I have fed it a lot of cheap ammunition along with some really old stuff (Peters), a whole brick I inherited.

Nice. I wish I got the stainless instead of the black, they look so cool. Check to see if it has the barrel screw in it. I get ours back from Ruger on Monday and cant wait to shoot it again.

Are all those mags the same size? Maybe it is just the picture angle but they look different. We got ours from Bud's too and it came with 2 mags that look like the one in the middle in you picture.
