I guess it's ok for plinking but for someone like me who is trying to improve my accuracy it undermines what I am trying to do. I wish I had not bought two 100 round boxes now because I used range ammo for the rest of that visit and still have 100 WWB left. Never had a problem with Remington. Someone bought me some Federal for Christmas, hopefully that is ok.
I shot WWB just fine. It went bang every time but just like you mentioned it shoots about 4 inches low at 25 yrds when compared to the federals. (I also got federals for Christmas)

Most of the time I shoot fiocchi or aguila they both shoot higher than any winchester ammo. Fiocchi usually is hot ammo. My Blackhawk chronographs right under 1400 fps with federal 125 gr JSP ammo. Fiocchi usually chronographs around 1600 fps with 125 gr JSP. Ballistics 101 shows the same results from fiocchi ammo. I am sure the 6.5" or 10" barrels I use don't hurt either.

Anyone feel free to correct me but I take a "stovepipe" to mean the empty shell gets stuck in the ejection port during ejection preventing the gun from cycling and loading the next round.

Plinking is just a term used for shooting at targets for fun or at least that's how I use the term.

I have not had this problem with any other ammo, either type of round or manufacturer, including hollow points. My shield has no problem with them either.

I bought them as they were the last box of 9 mm on the local Walmart shelves, due to the Obummer run on ammo.

Anyone else have a problem with these?
Hmmmmm .. never had that problem. I use winchester white box all the time. Did you try a different mag. It could be your extractor to. I have had mine for 1.5 years and no problems with mine. I used to carry it all the time before I got my Kimber Ultra Carry.

I use the 17 round mags, of which I have 4, at the range, and it could have been any of them. I seem to remember that it happened on at least two 0f the mags. I will have to look at thay, but they don't gag on any other ammo. The extractor seems to work fine on all other brands, so I am skeptical there. I would expect to change out the extractor when I do the recoil spring.

I use WWB in my SR40 - it seems to like that ammo better than anything else "non-premium". I get stovepipes with Blazer almost every time I shoot
