Ruger P345
Anybody shoot the Ruger P345? Excellent firearm, surprised it's not mentioned here.

I use one as my bedside table gun. Love it! One of Ruger's last new models before they starting coming out with so many striker fired guns. Probably doesn't get as much attention because it actually has a hammer. ;-)

Exactly. My trigger is excellent, firearm is accurate and recoil is mild. Pleasure to shoot. Actually the trigger in single action is better than my Kimber out of the box.

I've had a P345 since they were new in '05. I like it. It is nice looking, sturdy, shoots as straight as I can, and I've had no issues of failures to feed, fire, extract, nor eject. It rides in my glove box most of the time, as I keep a S&W Bodyguard 380 in my pocket, or I have a Para Warthog or a Stoeger 8040 "Cougar" .40 on my belt.
The P345 is easy on recoil, and long sessions at the range do not cause me any discomfort.
I like the hammer instead of a striker. It can be thumb-cocked if desired for a light touch of the trigger on the first shot.

"I am the resurrection and the life." Not.

Yeah, but it gave me something to do besides coding computer programs for a minute. :D

Love my p345, bought it used a few years ago. Had a good bit of holster wear so I refinished it. Has yet to give me any problems, function and accuracy wise. I love the fit of the gun with a houge grip. Really has been perfect for all I'm concerned. It now serves as my bedside gun. And I have several high end handguns that sit in the safe while I rely on the P345 for the protection if my family.

I know this is an old thread, but I am a new member. I purchased a P345 new in 2007. Many rounds fired through this unit w/never a malfunction. Almost traded in once and am glad I didn't as I shoot it at least once a week. I have several pistols and revolvers but this gun seems to be my "go to" every time I go to the gun club. Wouldn't trade it ever !!!!!
