Nice gun! I'd really like to try shooting a Ruger Mark 1,2, or 3 pistol.

You might as well just go out and buy one now, because after you shoot one you'll have to have one. Or more....

Shop I used to work for called me today. Customer took his Mk3 apart, couldn't get it back together.
Had receiver frame off a smidge, got that and had to nudge hammer fwd (wouldn't freely fall) and then it was like normal.

I dunno why so many have problems with this stuff. Owner had chewed the plastic backstrap good getting ahold of the mainspring housing lever, both sides of the polymer showed attack angle

As I was leaving I checked the used cases and there was a Mk1, very clean, 6 7/8" Target model.
Yeah, I bought it.

No bolt hold open, but then no mag disco or loaded chamber indicator, so I thought that made up for it

Fun to put back together after cleaning

volquartsen trigger kit is an awesome add on... however, mine had a AD after I did it. With safety on, pulled trigger and nothing happened as it should. flip safety off and seer let go, bang. Scared the crap out of me, luckily I followed the safety rules and firearm was pointed down range. VQ fixed it for me, and I was happy with the end result.
