Just picked up my 3rd, and hopefully final, LCP. I never should have sold the last one. This gun fits perfectly in the under-the-seat pouch on my mountain bike. Great for summer pocket carry. Not looking forward to the break-in range session. I'll probably numb up after the first 100 rounds or so.

Looks just like the one my kids gave me last year for my
birthday. Went thru 3 batteries in the LaserMax before I
made my pocket holster!

I love it!

Just bought an LCP 380!! Inside the waist, feels little different than my cell holster I keep on my left hip!! I guess we can all agree that FMJ Ammo is the right choice for that gun! For max penetration!! I was also told that some HP AMMO will jam due to a steep feeding process in that particular gun!! Anyone else hear of Jamming issues with HP in the LCP??

The key to determining what HP ammo your LCP may like or not is to do a thorough break-in with FMJ before running HP brands through it. Smaller guns seem to be much more finicky until the parts have had a chance to smooth out and mate with one another. If you look I'm sure you'll find anecdotal evidence of jamming, but with proper break-in and cleaning your LCP should be able to shoot most HP with no problem. There's always that occasional brand that a particular gun just doesn't like, so if you encounter that, just move on.

In today's climate, you may have to just shoot what you can get....

Good luck, and enjoy your Elsie-Pea!

I shot one box of factory FMJ & one box of range reloads in the first break-in session. The factory stuff ran fine, but I had 2 FTE's & some breakdown pin drift on the reloaded stuff. Only my Glocks eat reloads consistently. Pretty concerned about that breakdown pin though.

!
What would you consider to be enough rounds for a thorough break-in? I've only fired 9 magazines through mine so far. All but one mag was hollow points with no issues. I wanna stock up on a little more ammo before I hit the range with her again.

[ a ran about 50 rounds FJ through mine Saturday!! Shot surprisingly well from about 20 feet! Which is all I really expect out of such a small Pistol!! Am I selling the gun short or is 20 feet in, about right for decent accuracy??
