I want to add a couple revolvers ( open to suggestions ) and would like a ruger American in .308. The wood stock 10/22 shoots like a dream its probably my favorite rifle. It's got a kidd charging Händel, guide rod, springs, bolt buffer, extractor, and trigger. Love me some ruger.

They are sweet. Very light and good shooter for a snub. I own the 38 special and love it. But if you want a 357 I'd go with the sp101. My opinion, a heavy weight 38 +p is enough for the lcr considering recoil and muzzle flash

Thanks for the recomendation. I'm fairly new to hand guns, I started buying them about 18 months ago wife says I tend to go overboard, I also have a s&w SD9ve and the dreaded Jimenez ja22 . Never shot a revolver so might as well buy one and try it out.

The only Ruger I own...Manlicher Hawkeye .308
Picked it up last weekend, but just found this thread and have not fired it yet. Came with matching scope rings, but I feel it should remain open sight.

I love the mannlicher stocks. That's a sweet little rifle. Mind if I ask how much it set you back? Looking forward to that range report too!

While I do not own one the LCR is a great light weight pistol. With the lighter weight more felt recoil is an issue with some. If this is the route for you look at the .357 as it gives you the option of .38 for practice and +P for carry or .357. The SP 101 and GP 100 are some what heaver so the recoil should be less. Either way you go a Ruger is hard to beat.
