Default New Ruger LCP

I just picked up my new Ruger LCP and it is going to do my ccw. I'm not new to firearms, however I am new to Rugers, as well as to carrying concealed. I have had training as an armed security officer however the training concerned carrying a visible duty weapon (not concealed, as that was illegal at the time including for security). Does any one have any recommendations for first time conceal carrying for concerning the LCP, besides common sense.

Back pocket wallet type holster works very well for me. conceals exceptionally well. I use a Stoner brand leather holster. High quality.

Ruger LCP 380 was originally my backup firearm. However, because of its compact size, weight, and reliability, it has become more often than not my primary carry, as I wear shorts and t-shirts basically all year round. When wearing beltless shorts I carry my LCP in a Remora holster. You can jump up and down and it won't even budge from its place.

Great conceal weapon!! I CC either LCP or Bigger brother LC9!! Practice practice!! Great shooting gun for its size!! I run at least 100 rounds a month through mine!! Nothing wrong with carrying a little 380 as long as you always remember what it is! Happy shooting!!

I hate that little firearm, but it's my 2nd choice for CC, and if I'm blading or riding a bicycle, the first choice

Make sure you put some rounds through it to understand that trigger that starts the next county over before it goes bang!

Yeah I'm used to long trigger pulls afterall I own a Glock 22 and used to own a Sccy CPX-2. I've yet to make it to the range, as I'm waiting on my Glock to get back from the shop (having a new trigger bar and springs put in). Once I get back I then plan to make a trip to the range. Got me a pocket holster and a in the waist band holster which is hidden by a cell phone holder on the outside, which has been working out great so far.

I don't own a gun small enough for this, but the LCP would be perfect. I've always been curious about the Sneaky Pete holster. Apparently my dad has one and loves it for his LCP.

Might be worth looking into if you get tired of your current holsters, or just want to try something different.

Default Lcp/lc9

I'm using the Blackhawk#3 for my LC9 but I'm told the 3 is for LCP/KelTec .380, and the #4 is for PF9/P11/LC9. For IWB carry I have theDeSantis insider(d9). Back east I only Opened carry in the woods. Here even if I'm on the Quad or my trycycle open carrying I still carry the LC9 as a BUG concealed.......

I agree with PanBaccha. Give the Remora holster a try.

I don't have a Remora holster itself, I do have an Uncle Mike's pocket holster, and it works out great, although I prefer my cell phone and holster combo that I got, as it free's up my pocket, and the firearm is kept right behind the cell phone (cell phone on outside of pants, firearm on inside waist band) and I'm so used to reaching there, it is second nature to reach there. I do like the sneaky pete holster and may buy one of those.
