I prefer the feel of the all steel models and none of the trigger BS on MK IIs but you do have the heel mag release. Most people change out sights n triggers first.

New Lite looks interesting.

Is this sling shot mod a MK III thing ? With loaded mag or w/o mag, doesn't the bolt return to battery ?

I have a friend looking at MK IIIs - how difficult was it to make the mods? Rugers are known for running dirty, loaded chamber indicator sounds like a good idea except not at the expense of reliability.

My first pistol was a MK I - I am just familiar w steel model and will have to give 22/45 a try. Especially since I own 1911s.

Love my Mark III 22/45, it has the 4 in threaded barrel ,,first thing i did was put in the TK bushing to get rid of that magazine disconnect, also today i just did a trigger job on her, but i did not install the VQ trigger, just bought the VQ sear and polished all the trigger assembly,,,WOW what a difference that made. Also put on a compensator from Maddmacs and wooden grips...it is a work in progress , have heard about the slingshot mod, but do not know enough about it.....
