I have an LC9 and the rear sight has come completely loose to the point of almost coming out of the gun. I've contacted ruger but short of using Loctite what can I do to tighten this up?

Any ideas? I'm kind of at a loss
Don't have the gun. Is it screwed down? If so I would think loctite would work.

Is it a metal sight? Remove the sight (assuming its a dovetail, too early can't remember). Give the slide a couple of whacks with an awl or something, leaving dimples with raised edges, and re-insert sight. Problem solved.

The screw in the sight won't just screw down. I tried that. And I can't get the sight to come completely out of the gun. Man guns just decided they hated me yesterday
