Hey everyone haven't posted in a while haven't had time to shoot or buy guns much due to me opening my own mobile auto service. In the last couple weeks though I went out and bought myself a ruger sr 40c. First time out 20 Speer home defense 2 light strikes outta 20. Box of 50 federal ball 6 of em had a light strike. Finally box of 50 white box winny semi hollow 10 outta 50 had a light strike. So at this point I'm pretty pissed being that I just dropped 500 bucks on the thing. When I go home I dry fire it and to me it sounded like the Stryker was getting getting jammed up. I take apart the gun all the way down to the Stryker and the mag disconnect already looked worn I removed it and went back to the range with the same 120 rounds and it fired flawlessly. Although I love my new cc piece I am disappointed in ruger for not noticing this problem here's a pic. Also has any one else had this issue?

I have had the same issue with Winchester white box on my SR9c, but no other ammo. Give Ruger a call. They will take care of the problem/

My sr40c keeps jaming up with the cheap federal rounds, there too dirty have to clean it every 25 rounds or so, but the white box Winchester shoots great several 100 rounds at a time no probs, no probs with hollow points, but never shot more than a clip full at a time

Go to the Ruger site and look at http://ruger.com/resources/videos.html?vidID=013003

Many of the striker assemblies apparently come from the factory over-lubed, and they get dirty in a heartbeat. The above video will show you how to take out the striker (not easy at first but once you get it you get it). It needs next to no lube to function properly, same with the extractor.

I think cheaper ammo gets these guns dirty as well. I clean after every range trip. Hope that helps

I appreciate the feed back but if you read the whole post I fixed the issue before I even posted by removing the mag disconnect it was jamming up the Stryker I have since fired over 500 round with no issues I was wondering if anyone else has had that same issue but still I appreciate the feed back
