Default LCP Question on +P

I just bought a box of Magtech Guardian Gold which is listed as +P. Then I read my manual.....duh! So here are my questions:
1. Has anyone used +P in their LCP's? If so, how has it functioned?
2. I only bought 20 rounds and was planning on loading my SD magazines in the Ball-Hollow manner. Would this be a problem?
3. Should I shoot the stuff or should I try to unload it?

Thanks in advance for your input.

Does the manual say you can shoot +p?

The manual, if memory serves me right, warns against using +P in bold red.

If that is correct then I would not recommend shooting it. The gun may not kaboom on you, but it will certainly cause excessive wear and eventual failure.

That's what I keep reading on all the threads. Could only find one kaboom & that may or not have been because +P. Lots of guys thought it was a squib. Yes the manual does say don't use it. Looks like I just bought something I can't use. Maybe my LGS will trade it for something.

If not. I'm sure you have a friend that could use it.

1. There IS no SAAMI standard for .380 +P. There are OFFICIAL standards for only 4 +P cartridges (.38 Special, 9mm parabellum, .45 ACP, and ALL .38 Super ammo) Since there is no official standard is just what IS a +P .380, Ruger is NOT going to warrant a gun for its use.

2. With some extremely light firearms, recoil will be VERY pronounced, When you rachet up the energy, it gets sharper. Recoil can afect more than your hand. There have been some concerns (whether justified or not, I have NO idea) that very sharp recoil in a very light pistol COULD result in the bullets of unfired cartridges moving in the case. In or out would be a bad thing.

Having been told by the maker not to shoot them, I would not. However, those of us that fool with explosives tend to read and follow instructions.
