Yeah, It is Pretty cool! So far I have only done 3 Practice sessions. We got the Wife a double barrel 20ga,..but I need an 1897 Winny 12 to do both Pistol & shotgun(no rifle class in Wild bunch)! The People you meet are just the nicest. our Duty Sgt. with the Az. Rangers also shoots, and got us into it! My wife is using My late uncle's Blackhawk 357, and she doesn't know it yet but I'm paying lay-away on a stainless single six convertible (22LR/22Mag.) for her B-Day...

I'm thinking a Kahr or something such sized,..also the NAA is small enough.
I just replaced the plastic guide rod and 16# spring set with a stainless guide rod and a 20# spring from Galloway Precision and it makes a huge difference in the recoil. It makes reassembly considerably more difficult and I was concerned that it was too much spring but I just test fired it with 147, 124, 115 and a mag of Hornady Critical Duty with no failures at all.
It really does tame the recoil IMO.

Cool! I'm Wanting to Do the Guide rod myself,..but as for the Springs,..my Ruger Smith Guy(who is one of the folks letting me use his machines until I get mine set up) Says not to mess with the Springs unless you HAVE to......almost 1200 Rounds through mine now since last April,..and less then 10(I Think 7 all together) Fail's (feed or Eject) in just over 18 months! Now the MAgazine Springs are another story. HOSSFLY feels that "you should NOT unload Loaded Mags because they damage the spring and cause lack of Tension. But Quite a few folks tell me to load and Unload at least 1x per month,..just to clean the Mags(REM oil Spray Can,..wipe down,..Use Compressed Air to Blow the Rest Dry).I keep 2 sets of replacement springs for most Auto's Magazines..

FWIW,..I have never changed the Springs on All but one of my "92's" and NONE of my 1911's magazine springs...
I did get some Crappy 40 Rd. Mags for my Mini-14 years ago(steel,..but not very well made sadly),...and I had to find replacement springs for the 3 I kept. I ditched one before I got "smart" and tried Fixing them. As It wasn't a Major Priority with a Bunch of 20's & 30's in my possession, it was a bonus when I found working springs for the three I kept.

SO QUESTION Pas? did the slide Get "stiffer" to operate with the new springs, and if so,..was that an "Acceptable Trade Off" for less recoil. To Me the Recoil isn't Horrible, and when I "lube" before a range trip,..it's even smoother to run...
Since it's more a Carry or BU gun then a constant shooter,..I never run more then 75-100 rounds each time out, where I might run 150 Through my SR9, BHP, or My "92's"

It does indeed make the slide stiffer, I personally never noticed the recoil very much but I am in the process of teaching two 12 year old grandkids to shoot and they both like the LC9 but it is a bit sharp for them. This weekend I'm going to move them to the PX-4. I bought 1000 rounds of 9mm to play with and I'll have a better Idea then.

I JUST ordered the guiderod and recoil spring from Galloway. Should be here tomorrow. I'll see how it does shortly. I have serious issues with my magazine springs since I unloaded them.

I had my PX-4 plated and replaced the guide rod then but haven't touched the recoil spring yet.
I just ran 100 rounds through the LC-9 with the 20# spring with no issues of any kind, so far so good Sunday will tell the tale.
