My Ruger .40 is quite a joy to shoot and very accurate for this caliber as evident of my target pattern. I believe my is also a good one!

I just cant get excited over the 40, you have hundreds of choices for 9mm which is close, and the 1911 .45 are abundant. If I am stepping up in caliber from 9mm, I much rather have the .45.

I am happy with 9mm if i want something bigger then i can use my .45 so i don't see a need for.40. As for the popularity of glock among police forces Reliable cheap and nasty low cost being the main attraction. Lets face it they wouldn't buy them for any other reason that i can think of.

Default .40

I Don't Dislike the .40
Have a 9mm. for plinking.
A .45 for fun.
Other guns, calibers more interesting, to me.
I dont knock or put down anyones choice of firearm or choice of caliber.
Do have a box of .40 bought years ago.

9mm, .40 or .45, with today's modern ammo they are all going to mess someone up pretty bad. I do not want to be hit with any of them. I think the argument is more feasible when talking about animals, especially the big and dangerous ones.

Reliable, affordable, and deadly. That sounds like the total package!
