White vinegar and water is used to remove lead from barrels. The whole barrel is never soaked only wiped to remove lead. I have never heard of a vinegar polish? The vinegar will cause the barrel to dull in most cases?

Have heard of using vinegar to remove BP residue and corrosive salts from mil-surp ammo but never to clean a barrel. Please post results...vinegar is one hell of a lot cheaper than lead remover :) Will vinegar remove the bluing from a non SS barrel?

i have read that vinegar can be used to remove blueing from gun parts if soaked long enough.

Vinegar is often used to "age" blued handguns. Vinegar will totally remove bluing from gun steel. White vinegar and a few drops of water is a very effective lead remover. :)

I didnt mean vinegar polish.. But if you soak the barrel for a few hrs in white vinegar use a scrubbing pad then metal polish like mothers chrome polish you remove the black or blueing and your left with a stainless barrel ...
