Nice siblings you got there!
Thanks! I have become a big Sig fan over the last year or so.

Yeah wish 290 came in DA/SA instead of dao, then I'd jump on it as well as the 938.
I agree with you, I wish the 290 was DA/SA instead of dao, but I do have to say that it still shoots very well. The trigger is very smooth, and I got used to it quickly. I would not write the 290 off just because it is dao. Just my opinion.

I don't doubt that is a great quality trigger and firearm in general, but I write everything DAO of immediately. I just don't shoot them well. The trigger travel isn't acceptable as it causes extreme performance degradation with me. I'm sure I could train myself to shoot it well, but I don't have the time, patience or desire. I have to do SAO or DA/SA, no question whatsoever. The only exceptions being Glock type triggers, like the Ruger SR series and Taurus PT709.

Again I agree with you, but somehow this little gun is different.
I have been a 1911 shooter for years, so I prefere single action. I generally shoot single actions better, but I shoot the P290 a whole lot better than I shoot my P938. I dont know why.
If you find yourself in the Houston area, I will let you shoot both, the 290 and 938, and you can see for your self.

By the way, here is my favorite pair of siblings. SP2022's. The diamond plate one is a 9mm, and the green one is a .40. I liked the 9mm so much, I sold off all of my Glocks and went back and bought the .40.
