Default Surprised by the 2022

I held the 2022 yesterday for the first time and really like it. The way it feels in the hand is really nice plus, it wasn't as big and heavy like many others have said. I think I could even conceal carry it if I wanted to. Anyway, this gun is definitely surpassed the radar and now is on the wish list!

It's a great gun at a great price. I have the .40, and love it. The only mod I made was the guide rod, other than that it's great out of the box. Can't beat it for $459-600!

The SP2022 is the sleeper in the Sig line and one of their better pistols IMO. They feel great in hand and have all the features we like in the Sig DA/SA pistols, plus the price is right. I love mine.

What is the pistol below the 2022? It looks like a 250 but not sure.

In the picture with the two Sigs , the lower one is not a 2022 I know that.

It may be the new 320 striker fired.

The lower pistol is my new P320c which is another exceptional Sig offering.

The 2022 is the bestselling SIG in Europe. Law enforcement agencies here love the polymer-framed Glocks, but usually forgo the 2022 in favor of the more expensive metal-framed P series. I don't know exactly why.

Shooter's are a conservative lot, resisting change.

Look how long it took for LE to convert from cowboy pistols to DA semiautos.

Revolvers for duty use should have started disappearing in the 1930s. But it took another 50 years for LE to finally give up their beloved "cowboy" pistols.

Another huge positive is how the SP2022 is built. The slide rides on machined steel rails not like the aluminum rails on the metal framed Sigs which will lead to a longer service life. I have seen rails on a P226 crack after around 5000 rounds meaning the frame has to be replaced. This won't happen on the SP2022 since the rails are steel. This is a little known plus to the 2022 design.
