Love mine. Only thing mine doesn't like steel case at all. Jams all the time. When I first got it. Extractor broke using steel case. Called Sig to send it back. Rep I spoke to on the phone suggested not to shoot steel case in that gun. I didn't like that. Imo a combat gun should be able to eat anything. In saying that I haven't had any problems with it since it has been back. I shot one box of steel case thru it on its return and it worked but I didn't want to push my luck. Great gun, looks great. Love the decocker & the size of it. Grip the rough texture on the grip and break down is simple. Mine was 410.00 + tax out the door. Causes mags cause so much but oh well.

That isnt very smart now is it? You are directly going against what the manufacturer recommends against steel cased ammo (Sig 2022 isnt the only gun that doesnt eat steel) and you are doing it again?

If your extractor breaks again will you blame the gun and re-send to Sig?

Stop cheaping out on that steel junk, feed the gun brass

No its not that smart but I think your missing the point. Imo a combat pistol should be able to eat all types of ammo. Brass, steel, whatever.
I wanted to see if the gun could now run it. I want to know now if I had to load and run a few mags of steel case thru it. I want to fund out now if it can do it now when I need it. It's not like I am buying a 1000 rounds of steel case. Just ran half a box to test the results with the new extractor.

Steel cased ammo is rough on almost ANY gun, 99.9% of all ammo manufacturers use brass casings so why not use brass and save yourself the headache of another breakage? The WHAT IF scenario for making a case to use cheap steel cased ammo isnt likely or probable.

I don't shoot steel case ammo. I wanted to.run a test to see if now it would without problem. I ran a half box or box. Not a entire case nor have I shot it since.
I think I need to draw someone a picture.

I ran 50 rounds of steel case through each of my SP2022, P938, and my P290, just to make sure it will work. I had no issues with any of them.
