I can go out about any day of the week and shoot the 10 ring out of a target

I replaced the grip with a smaller grip that does not have the ring on the bottom.

Does VERY well with Remington Golden Saber 9mm rounds ...

And, BTW, I have moved the rear sight so that the group hits about 1/2 right of this group in the picture now.

Well I bought 2022 in feb 2012 my wife went out with me one day to do some target practice. That was the last time i was able to call it mine. When we go put now she always has it and will not fire anything else.

Then you should get a 226 for your use.

I love my SP2022. The first time I shot it was straight out of the box for a combat pistol class five years ago. The first exercise was to draw, hit three steel targets twice each, reload, do it again and re-holster. Shooting at seven yards, I hit steel every time.

I put nearly 1,500 rounds through it that weekend. Sweet trigger, clean sight picture, accurate and easy to field strip and clean.

Unfortunately, my wife shot it. it has since become my wife's nightstand gun.

I know this thread hasn't been updated in 7 months, but I wanted to say that I bought an SP2022 in 9mm two nights ago...it should arrive at my local FFL tomorrow afternoon. I'll hopefully get to play with it this weekend.

I already have a P220, but wanted a 9mm that I could carry. Also, the wife will probably be intimidated by the P220, so she now has the option to shoot the SP...I'm curious on if she'll try to claim it.

Oh yeah, I got mine for $389 from gunbroker.com, so they're still selling cheap. I did notice that the two-tone SPs are usually the versions being sold at less than $400. It took me a while to find a black one for that price.

Cabelas had a Sig mag sale that ended last night...$22 a mag. Knowing that SPs only ship with one mag, I bought 2 exta mags. I also bought 3 extras for my P220. So, a bit over $100 for 5 mags.

Posting a shot target with no information on the distance or the mode of firing is a touching exercise in vanity.
