Default which sig compares to the service xd

Which sig sauer would compare to the Springfield xd service model? I am talking about the size, the xd service fits perfectly in my hands but my stepdad is talking about buying me a sig when I graduate this year.

That'll be a P228/P229. Their basic medium/compact, the two models are essentially the same.

They also have medium framed single-stack guns in the P239 and P220compact.

I've had good experiences with all of Sig's alloy framed pistols, and haven't been too impressed with any of their polymers.
