I have an older West German Sig 226 and I was wonder if I could feed it a steady diet of cast bullets. As a reloader I prefer cast to FMJ simply because of the cost. 500 are almost 1/3 the cost of 500 FMJ when you 1000 bullets.

Let me know if anyone feeds their Sig 226 only cast and let me know your experience.

Cast bullets work great for me in my 226. 200 gr. swc. Not one malfunction even when using 20+ year old blue dot powder. switched to unique but had to look around for load data since it was not in my books. Unique also worked well,(no FTF or FTE) and thats with me trying to load a lot of ammo fast and cheap. This sig just eats anything I've tried in it.
