Default Sig 220 Platinum Elite trade or sell?

I have a Sig 220 Platinum Elite but I want a Sig 220 Combat. It's a great gun and accurate. My question is should I sell it and buy a 220 Combat or trade it for one. The reason is I don't care for a stainless steel gun, it was a spontaneous buy(pretty gun).

Depends on your lifestyle. If you have the time and patience to post a good listing on Gunbroker, or to wait till it sells in classifieds, you will probably extract more $$. If not, trade at a LGS. Considering that you could afford the Elite, you can probably absorb writing off the difference.
If there is a local sales tax, you save on that too when you trade.

If you have something you don't like so much, that can get you something you do like so much, then the choice should be easy.

Don't take it to a dealer unless you can get them to trade. At best they'll tell you the gun is 80%.Which means no matter the condition of the pistol you will lose greatly.Definitely take her to auction or classified ad you will get generally what you wanted.

Bead blast it and have it coated in black.

Just kidding. I'm sure some collector minded folks would absolutely freak out at that suggestion.

Look up the gunbroker situation. Of the bat I'd ask 1100, bottom line 1k. Cash.
