A transitional 220 when they switched from stamped slides to stainless.

Nice pistol. I've always liked the 220. Mine is in .45 ACP.

I've got one that I'm told is one to hold on to. It says Made In Germany on the slide. Any truth to that? Is it rare to have one?

Collectors do put a premium on the German marked guns. Especially the ones with German marked frames. Some folks prefer the stamped metal slides over the milled stainless slides due to keeping the amount if weight over the hand reduced.

This one is a .45.

I have a Sig P220 .45 acp, made in West Germany. I bought it in 1995, I had a hard chrome finish put on it in 1996. I purchased a Sig P220 Elite Dark .45 acp last year. I get the most enjoyment from shooting these two pistols.
