Default Sig 2022

So I purchased a Sig 2022 in .40 S&W. Unfortunately, no night sights. I I'd $459.00 at my LGS. I was shooting my EAA Witness P in 9mm and my SW1911 as well. The Sig shot incredibly well. It makes me look good. The sights were adjusted perfectly right out of the box. The trigger had some take up but was oh so smooth. It was interesting switching between the 1911 which has a typical short trigger and the EAA which is DA/SA and shot in SA. The 1911's trigger was very short with the EAA being the longest. The DA trigger was smooth as well. Despite having two 1911s, a couple of Gocks, my CZ-P07, CZ knockoff EAA Witness P, my two .357 revolvers and my long guns, the 2022 is my new "go to" gun. I had a Sig P250 and did not like the long trigger pull and hence, it was sold. This illustrates that I didn't drink the Sig Koolade. Objectively speaking, I would recommend the 2022 to anyone, especially those who like a DA/SA pistol. While there are those who find the .40 a bit "snappy", the 2022 tamed the recoil. The gun was a pleasure to shoot.

Yes the 2022 is an excellent choice as are all Sigs except for the 250 so we agree there. Crimson Trace makes a set of laser grips for it and a replacement metal guide rod will improve what is already great.

I love my 2022 .40! I put in a Springco guide rod and spring, and it's my favorite gun now. I was not a fan of a plastic guide rod. I got mine for $409 and it came with a Sig laser on it .

Yeah that's cool but it makes holster choices few and far between. I like Spinco guide rods, I have one in my Sig 1911 but not in my 2022 but maybe sooner or later but I really like the Crimson Trace laser grip

Unfortunately holsters are not an option here in Komifornia, can't carry here. I did find one that fits good but it's a generic, nothing high speed.

That sucks I guess crime only happens when you are home and armed. The streets must be safe to walk in any neighborhood at any hour........

I bought a SIG 2022 a year ago this last Feb. My wife went out with me to fire it the first time and it has become her bedside companion while I am at work on a graveyard shift. I also have a 1911 45 acp. She tells me this 40 is hers and the 45 is mine. Leave her 40 alone. Also have am lap and she hates the little darlin.
