Default Sig 1911 XO

I will break the ice on the Sig forum with a 1911 question. How are the sig 1911s? I love my P229, and have been in search of a 1911 that suited me. My budget is between $700-$800 and this one seems to fit that bill.

Opinions?

I dont own that model but all Sig 1911's are basically the same plus or minus finish and a few other bells and whistles. They are AWSOME.........my favorite 1911 out of any. I think you get more for your dollar out of them.
here is my custom Sig 1911 platinum elite.

I've got an XO and I love it. I actually had a colt as well and my brother begged me to sell him one and it pained me to give up the colt, but there was no way I was letting the sig out of my hands. It just handles that well. Sometimes I cry into my pillow at night thinking about my long lost colt, but when I do, I'm hugging my sig tight and thankful I didn't make the wrong choice. the Sig is nice and tight, very accurate and has a great look to it. I changed out the grips I should note. The ones it comes with were just too aggressive for me, but you might like them.

I went for the 1911 TacPac. It was the better deal:
1911 Nitron finish with 3 magazines speed loader and the Sig paddle holster with the magazine pouch. It was a bit higher than my limit ($750) but the extra mag and the holster makes up for it. I'll be selling that holster as I'm a lefty and in truth it's a range gun but the extra mag and speed loader will actually only end up costing me MORE money (in ammo). Looking forward to getting it. I'll post up some pistol porn once I receive it.

EDIT: I sold the holster on the eBay for $25...

Just acquired a Sig Carry in stainless and loving it so far. Grip change coming only because I like to personalize every pistol I own. Gadsden Flag grip ordered.

My second magazine. This was at 15 yards. The gun shoots great, the front strap checking really grips back. I'm glad is chose a pistol that had it. The trigger is a bit gritty (?), I found myself anticipating the shot. Then again it was my 1st time shooting it so...I like my grips, so far. I will add an ambidextrous thumb safety.

Sig 1911s are brutally accurate. This is my 15 shot group from 7 yds. And I am NOT that good of a shot. you can't miss with these things!
