Default sig 1911 scorpion carry?

Ive been thinking about my first 1911. sig scorpion carry. I got to shoot it over the last couple weekends, it seams like it has alittle less recoil than a kimber pro ii, but the kimber feels to have a better trigger. Primary use would be fall and winter carry. Whats the good bad and ugle. Or should i look at a different brand. Im a lefty just to be a pain in the ass.

I agree a Kimber will have a better trigger for competition. For carry it doesn't matter. One could even say there is an extra measure of safety in a (very slightly) heavier pull. What matters more is your ability to draw and engage quickly with a minimal effort. Avoid adjustable target sights or sharp angles. A bobtailed grip might be useful. As for having thumb safety on the wrong side, there is no good reason. Consider an ambi safety model.

I have the sign scorpion carry and it is amazing. I carried it year round for awhile. I had a custom iwb holster made because I Carried it will an inforce apl as I do all ccw. The trigger is not a comp trigger but it is not a comp model so you should not expect it. The ambi safety is smaller than most variants which is a plus. It comes with the siglites which are superb imho.

I will never own a Kimber or would I ever consider one based on their chinsey one year Warranty

it is true. Davidson's guarantee is a great antidote though, if you want a new Kimber.
