Default P232 Just arrived...

Just got this beauty in today. Absolutely gorgeous pistol. Haven't had a chance to clean or fire it yet, but hoping to do so within the week. Any other P232 owners here? What do you think of the pistol? Any new owner tips?

I used to own one many years ago. Nice gun but I traded it for a 45 carry.

Wanted one, but did not get a good write up in GUN TESTS.....but I hope yours serves you well. My next pocket sized will prob. Be a 7 or 13 rd. Bersa Thunder. Almost bought a pair of Taurus PT22's today tho...

Couldn't wait, so took it out today. It shot beautifully on every round. I started with with 100 rounds of WWB then moved to 14 rounds of Remington Ultimate Defense and 14 of Hornady Critical Defense. I purposely tried the de-cocker multiple times and it was completely uneventful.

This is more than I can say for the Sig Mosquito that my daughter was using. Lots of FTEs using American ammo. Sad with Remington. Marginally better with CCI Mini-Mags. I noticed that my thumb was likely engaging the slide lock so made an effort to adjust my grip but that didn't help. I also noticed that the takedown lever was a bit loose. Hopefully it's just a matter of changing the springs and some breaking in.

I just picked one up recently and shot it side by side with a Walther ppk/s. Those are some of the sweetest pistols to shoot regardless of caliber and 2 of the best looking guns around. They both shot about the same. Was flawless with ppu ammo. Can't wait to get it beck to the range. I'll be trying out wwb next time around.

I am really surprised I missed this. I have a P230, the W. German made with no safety, just basic. I love it. It is the fastest cycling handgun I own or have ever fired. Dumps the mag in about 1.5 seconds.
