I would go with the SIG as someone who deals with the m&P's and sigs on a daily basis. My 229 and several m&p 9c's at the house.

This is my second post. IMHO the Sig 2022 is a best buy. Buy it and you will never regret it, or have to look back.

Awesome gun. I have it in the 9mm and its my bed side gun. I have shot many rounds through it and have not had one failure. It is very good quality and tightly made. I wpuld get a 40...at least here in Ky 9mm ammo is scarce but there is an abundance of .40 .45 .357 and .223 for some reason.
