Default M&P 9c for a Sig 2022

I've been looking to trade our M&P 9c for a fullsize handgun, the offer on the table now is a fullsize Sig 2022 9mm. I don't know much about Sigs, was looking for input.

I bought a Sig p2022 about a month ago. I would rate it somewhere above a Glock 19, but below a Sig P226.

The Sig p2022 is a bit heavy, but still able to be carried concealed...much like the Glock 19

The Sig p2022 has a trigger as good as a Glock in my opinion, and perhaps slightly better.

I love the DA/SA of the Sig although it does take some getting use to.

If it helps your decision making process, then know my next handgun purchase will be another p2022 although for diversity sake I will get a .40 since I already own the 9mm.

As a reference point for you, I own 2 Glocks, 2 Sigs, a Colt .45, a kel tec pf9 so I am kinda comparing all of these against the sig p2022.

In conclusion, I don't think you will regret the p2022.

I'm heavily leaning to the trade, it's gonna sting a bit buying extra mags(as he only has one) but I believe we'll be very happy w the Sig(may miss the little Smith a bit tho)

As reference to my handgun experience (still a bit of a newbie) I've owned a first gen Baby Desert Eagle all metal .40, gen 3 Glock 23, S&W Bodyguard .380, Springfield XDs .45 and co-owned(w my girlfriend) the M&P 9c and a Glock 19. The XDs is by far my favorite, all the rest haven't really stood out to me.

Well, I suppose worse case scenario is you're out a gun that doesn't really appeal to you, but you gain the opportunity to try a Sig.?!

Good luck with the decision; let us know what you decide.

As a reference point for you, I have owned 4 Glocks, and I do own 5 Sigs, 2 1911 .45's, a kel tec .32 , a H&K, a S&W Shield, and many more, so I am kinda comparing all of these against the sig p2022.

In conclusion, I don't think you will regret the p2022. I fully agree with this!
See what I added to the quote above.

Truevil1313:
Sounds like you have the p2022 in both 9mm and .40?

Do you prefer one over the other?

I do. I like the 9 better, but they are both great. I just shoot the 9 better.

Truevil1313:
the .40 looks a fair amount larger than the 9mm...maybe it's just the angle of the camera. Is there a real size difference?
